Cosmetic companies targetting youth: Oriflame launches 'Dare to be'

The natural Swedish cosmetics major celebrated the launch last night of 'Dare to Be', a vibrant range exclusively for the youth.

The spectacular show in a leading hotel in the heart of the city saw a grand unveiling of bright, easy-to-use and electrifying shades of the range comprising eyewear, lip colours, foundations, fragrances, skin care and toiletries.

The occasion was marked by daring makeover sessions.

The show culminated with a grand fashion show with top models like Tina Chattwal, Shipra Malik and Anchal Oberoi sizzling the ramp with great exuberance.

Mr Marcus Sandstrom, Managing Director, Oriflame India, said: "We are extremely pleased to announce the new youth-focused philosophy 'Dare to Be' from Oriflame for the year 2011. Inspired by this belief, Oriflame has launched a new collection created specifically to meet the needs of younger market. 'Dare to Be' also presents a fantastic business opportunity for the youth and engaging current consultants with its exciting new offering." According to Ms Sharmili Rajput, Marketing Director, Oriflame India: "Dare to Be focuses on celebrating youth, and is a perfect range to allow create your own persona and individuality. The range personifies youth and beauty in its true senses." With this, Oriflame adds a complete new range, 'Dare to Be,' featuring product lines created for young women including: 'Very Me', 'Pure Skin' and 'The Babes'.

To engage youth with new content and opportunities, a dedicated Dare to Be website--with strong presence on social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube have been set.

A company spokesperson said the popularity of the range is established with a massive fan base of over 25,000 in just three months.

As part of this online presence, Oriflame has also launched webisodes, which are like television episodes but available only on the internet.

Four inspirational young women Emma, Dasha, Alisha and Claudia have been chosen to embark on the adventure.

The spokesman said Oriflame products are made of natural ingredients and extracts and are guaranteed to be pure.
